The contact details screen presents all of the available data for an individual contact.
Navigation
Go to Customer > Segment explorer > select the Contacts tab:
Search for/select any contact from the list to view their contact details.
Alongside the key contact details in the left of the screen, which remain static, there are six tabs in the contact details screen:
Key contact details
The key contact details display in the left of the screen.
The top panel includes:
- The contact’s name
- The contact’s email address
- The contact’s profile ID
- The contact’s lifecycle status
- The contact’s country
- Tags associated with the contact
- Whether or not the contact is subscribed
Select Edit to change any of this information, as well as gender, date of birth, and any custom fields you have setup:
You can also select Edit > Anonymise contact to anonymise this contact record.

Important milestones
The important milestones panel shows the contact’s key dates.
Milestone | Description |
Date of first visit | The date the contact was first identified on your site, including the source through which they arrived, e.g. cpc / Google, direct, etc. |
Date of first order | The date the contact first placed an order, including the source this order was attributed to. |
Date of last order | The date of the contact’s most recent order. |
Date of last visit | The date of the contact’s most recent identified visit to your site, including the source through which they arrived. |
Date will become at risk | The date this contact’s lifecycle status will become ‘at risk’, if they do not place any further orders. |
Date will lapse | The date this contact’s lifecycle status will become ‘lapsed’ if they do not place any further orders. |
Segments
In the bottom panel, you can see which dynamic and static segments this contact belongs to:
Right-click a segment to open it in the segment explorer.
You can quickly Remove the contact from static segments from this panel:
Overview tab
The Overview tab contains the following information:
Key metrics
The following key metrics are available at a glance:
Metric | Description |
Total lifetime revenue | The revenue generated by this contact over their entire lifetime. |
Average order value | The average value of orders placed by this contact. |
Valid orders | The number of valid orders this contact has placed over their entire lifetime. |
Units purchased | The total number of products purchased by this contact over their entire lifetime - these are not unique, so if the contact has purchased five identical t-shirts, this still counts as five units. |
Visits | The number of identified visits the contact has made to your website. |
Lifecycle status | The contact’s current lifecycle status. |
Email engagement | The contact’s current email engagement band. |
Frequency | The contact’s customer frequency band. |

The contact’s customer value. See: Customer value bands in Ometria Note: AOV in Ometria is calculated with tax included.

Attribute Affinity
The Attribute Affinity table shows the contact’s orders based on the attributes of the products they have purchased.
Use the dropdown to select an attribute - these vary depending on your unique setup:
The report headings are:
Heading | Description |
Attribute ID | The unique identifier for the attribute. |
Attribute Title | The name of the attribute. |
Attribute Path | The location of this attribute. |
Attribute Type | The attribute type, as selected from the dropdown at the top of the report. |
Affinity | Bar displaying the contact’s attribute affinity - the larger the bar, the stronger their affinity for this attribute. |
Units Sold | The number of units sold to this contact. |
Revenue | The total revenue generated from this attribute for this contact. |
Latest orders
The Latest orders report presents a quick overview of the contact’s most recent orders:
Heading | Description |
ID | The unique ID for the order.This is generated by you and sent to Ometria via your ecommerce importer. |
Order date | The date and time the order was placed. |
Number of items | The number of items included in the order. |
Coupon code | The coupon code used (if any). |
Store | The ID number of the store this order was placed with. |
Channel | The channel through which this order was placed, e.g. online, in store, etc. |
Valid | Whether or not the order is valid. |
Subtotal | The order subtotal (before tax and shipping). |
Tax | The total tax for this order. |
Shipping | The total shipping cost for this order. |
Discount | The total discount applied to this order (if any). |
Grand total | The order grand total (including tax, shipping and any discounts). |
Click on any order in the list to see the order in more detail, including shipping address, payment method etc., or select View all orders to go to the Orders tab in the contact’s profile:
Recently viewed products
The Recently viewed products report shows the products this contact has been browsing on your site, including the number of times they’ve viewed each product and the date they last browsed:
Click View all products to go to the Products tab of the contact’s profile.
Recommended products
The Recommended products report shows the products this contact will be recommended on your site:
Click the icon to go to the listing on your site.
Activity tab
The Activity tab shows a stream of all of the contact’s web activity in chronological order:
The contact’s activity is updated 5 - 10 minutes after the activity is identified in the platform - this depends on when the activity data is pushed to Ometria.
E.g. Ecommerce platforms may push order data at varying intervals, depending on your setup, while visits, product views, abandoned baskets etc. arrive in Ometria once the visit session ends.
Use the event types dropdown to filter the activity in the steam:
You can also filter your results by store.

Lifecycle | All changes to the contact’s lifecycle status, including the date they transitioned from one stage to another. |
Subscribe | The contact’s subscription date(s). |
Unsubscribe | The date(s) the contact unsubscribed (if relevant). |
Enter segment | Every time the contact has entered a segment, including the date they entered. |
Exit segment | Every time the contact has exited a segment, including the date they exited. |
Abandon basket | Every time the contact has abandoned their basket without checking out, including:

Emails | Email activity for the past 14 days. |

The Emails tab provides insight into the contact’s email activity:
Key email metrics
The contact’s key email metrics are available at a glance:
These numbers include broadcast and automation campaigns, but not transactional emails.
Metric | Description |
Emails delivered | The total number of emails delivered to this contact (i.e. they reached the contact’s inbox). |
Emails opened | The total number of emails this contact has opened. |
Emails clicked | The total number of emails this contact has clicked. |
Email orders | The total number of orders placed by this contact which are attributed to Ometria campaigns. |
Email revenue | The total revenue from orders placed by this contact which are attributed to Ometria campaigns. |
Email campaigns sent
The Email campaigns sent report shows a list of every email sent to this contact:
Heading | Description |
Title | The name of the campaign. |
Date sent | The date the campaign was sent. |
Campaign Type | The campaign type - Automation or Broadcast. |
Email status | The status of the email:

Click the Note: Previews remain visible from contact details for 30 days.

Automation campaigns activity
The Automation campaigns activity report shows all of the automation campaigns this contact has been entered in:
Heading | Description |
Title | The name of the automation campaign. |
Emails sent | The number of emails sent to this contact since they entered the campaign. |
Date entered | The date and time the contact entered the campaign. |
Status | The current status of the contact in this campaign. |
Orders tab
The Orders tab displays all of the orders this contact has made:
From here you can see:
- The order ID - click the ID to see the Product details screen.
- The store the contact ordered from
- The date the order was placed
- Coupon codes (if used)
- The source of the order (if known)
- A breakdown of the order including subtotals, shipping, tax etc.
Products tab
The Products tab shows a list of all of the products this contact has interacted with:
Select the interaction type from the dropdown list:
- Viewed - the contact has browsed the product listing on your site
- Viewed but not Purchased
- Added to Basket
- Purchased
- Refunded
Notes tab
In the Notes tab, you can enter and review any notes left for the contact by other Ometria users:
This tab is useful for reviewing any notes left for this contact by you or other members of your team.
