Strict Transport Security (HSTS) is a security policy that prevents man-in-the-middle attacks.
HSTS policy can be set on the top level domain or sub domains.
If HSTS is set to include sub domains, then we’ll need to create a certificate for you to cover the click domain Ometria uses to send subscribers to your website.
To do this, please get in touch with Support, who will work with you to install and test a certificate.
Warning: It's very important that you work with us if you make any changes to your subdomain, as without configuration on Ometria's end your customers will receive a security error when clicking links in your emails.
Setting up a sub domain HSTS
Our support team will create an HTTPS certificate for you, as well a CNAME record under your DNS register. We'll provide you with your CNAME for authentication purposes, as well as specific instructions.
Once propagated (please allow up to 24 hours) we will provide you with a second CNAME
