Once you’ve added your blocks to your template you can edit, rearrange and remove them.
To edit any block, click on the block itself in the template, or click on the editable fields in the block list on the left tab view.
Change an image
To change the image in an image block, all you need to do is select the block in the template, then click Choose image from the left hand panel.
Select from any of the images currently stored in your Asset manager:
Set background and text colour for all blocks
Choose and customise the background or text colour for your template blocks from the Edit Template tab:
The colours you pick apply to all existing blocks in the template - if you add a new block after having applied your colours, you’ll need to re-apply.
You can either choose an available colour, or enter a hex code.
You can also click +Save colour on any colour you choose and use it for other blocks.
When you save a colour, it will only be available to you (not anyone else on your team) and only as long as you do not clear your cache.
Rearranging, copying and deleting blocks
Hover over any block in your template and select the up and down arrows ( ↑↓ ) to rearrange the position of the block:
Select the copy icon to duplicate a block, and X to remove it from the template:
Dynamic block settings
Dynamic block settings allow you to further personalise your block content with dynamic data.
Hover over a block and select on the cog icon, or click on the cog in the blocks list in the Edit Template tab.
Dynamic settings mean you can choose to display a particular block to a specific contact segment, lifecycle stage or the customer lifetime value (CLV) of the recipient.
For example, if you want to display different promotions depending on a customer’s lifecycle stage, you should add three copies of the same block and use the dynamic block settings to select a different lifecycle stage or segment.
This means that if a recipient doesn’t belong to one segment/lifecycle stage they won’t see that block.
Block background and text colour
You can choose and customise the background colour and text colour for your template blocks from the dynamic settings.
You can either choose an available colour, or enter a hex code.
You can also click +Save colour on any colour you choose and use it for other blocks:
When you save a colour, it will only be available to you (not anyone else on your team) and only as long as you do not clear your cache.
