If you find that your custom event is not being triggered in Ometria you should check the following:
Check your API call

Did the API call receive a successful ‘200’ response?

Does the event_type field match the Custom Event ID? If you don’t know the Custom Event ID, raise a request with Support.

Is the timestamp being passed correctly?

Are the event properties being passed correctly, and do they link to a merge tag in your template?
Check in Ometria

Is your campaign set up and Active? Use the Automation campaign checklist to help you.

Is the contact subscribed? You can check this in the Contact details screen.

Are the account level Email settings correct?

If you’re using product IDs, make sure that they match an active product in Ometria’s database. You can check this in the products report, or else by using the product selector to search by product ID.
