Before using Ometria for Transactional email you to make Ometria aware you would like to go ahead and start using this functionality. There is some technical setup to implement to make this work for you. Please get in touch with your Customer Success Manager/Technical Project Manager in order to get started.
Using the Ometria platform, you can report on all transactional activity under Campaigns > Campaign performance.
You can also preview any transactional email sent to a contact.
Note: the transactional email dashboard only lists emails sent via the transactional API. Double opt-in emails, unless sent via the API will not be displayed here.

Transactional emails dashboard
The Transactional emails dashboard can be accessed via Campaigns > Campaign performance > Transactional emails
Here you can report on any of the following metrics, across any two date periods:
- Emails sent
- Emails delivered
- Emails bounced
- Emails opened
- Emails clicked
- Emails complained
If "transactional": true is passed (please see: http://docs.ometria.com/apis/data_api_v2/#/definitions/TransactionalEmail) these sends are filterable as Transactional.
If "transactional": false is passed these can be filtered by selecting the Marketing option.
If a “stream” has been passed for tracking purposes (e.g. for different types of transactional emails send) it is also possible to filter individual streams (by default all streams will be selected). If no stream data is passed this will appear as ‘default’.
Transactional sends table
Below the performance dashboard is a table of sends. In this view both live and sandbox transactional email sends are listed and individual sends can be previewed.
This new product functionality means marketers can quickly and easily check sandbox transactional sends are being triggered before streams are published live. They can also use the preview option to check transactional templates render as expected.
‘Is transactional?’ will display Yes OR No depending on the true/false value passed in this field via the API.
‘Is sandbox?’ will display Yes or No depending on the true/false value passed in this field via the API. This can be used to check testing sends and preview test transactional sends.
Select the Preview option to display the email send.
You now have a separate area where you can store transactional email templates in HTML format in the Template editor. Note: Transactional templates are not visual editor compatible.
Select Campaigns > Templates > Transactional to save or edit a transactional email template.
Note: The template ID generated when a template is saved in this view needs to be passed in the API request for the template to be used in the live send.
Note: An Ometria unsubscribe tag needs to be present in order for you to Save and Publish a transactional email template.
If you do not want the unsubscribe tag to appear in a non-marketing send you can choose not to display the tag. For example, as below (Note: this template behaviour should be validated by HTML developer when coding and before setting a transactional stream live):
In the customer pop-up you can now see any Transactional email sends under the Emails tab. The email send can also be previewed in this view.
