Before you can start using single sign-on to log into Ometria, you'll need to configure your Google account to make sure it works with Ometria.
Google's documentation: Set up your own custom SAML app
Before you begin
Only users with super admin permissions in Google Workspace can perform the steps in this article.
You must make sure that the Primary email field for each Google Workspace user contains the email address each user plans to use to log into Ometria.
Configure your Google SAML app
Your Google super admin should log into https://admin.google.com and go to Apps > Web and mobile apps.
Click Add app and select Add custom SAML app from the dropdown:
Complete the App details form:
Field | Description |
App name | Enter a clear, descriptive name - we recommend including "Ometria" for clarity. |
Description | Optionally enter a brief description of the app. |
App icon | Optionally upload an icon, e.g. Ometria's logo. |
Click CONTINUE.
In the next screen, save your Google SSO URL and the SAML certificate - you'll need these later.
Click CONTINUE:
Complete the following fields in the next screen:
Field | Description |
ACS URL | Enter: https://app.ometria.com/sso/saml/callback |
Entity ID | Enter: sso://saml.prod.app.ometria.com |
Start URL | Leave this field empty as Ometria uses service provider-initiated SAML flows, i.e. the login flow begins at Ometria. |
Signed response | Tick this box. |
Name ID format | Select EMAIL. |
Name ID | Select Basic Information > Primary email |
Click CONTINUE.
You can skip the Attributes and Group membership screens - no changes are required here.
Click FINISH to create the app configuration.
Turn on SSO for everyone
In the SSO app configuration screen, go to User access and turn it ON for everyone.
See step 2 in: Set up your own custom SAML app
Click SAVE.
Once you've done this, move on to the next step.
Enable single sign-on for Ometria
Now that you've configured your Google account, please raise a request with the Ometria Support Team.
Select a general support request, then choose a "Request" query type and select SSO setup.
You'll be asked to provide information about your Google account, as well as your Google SSO URL and the SAML certificate.
The team will let you know once your request has been processed and you can start using it.
Test SSO
Test single sign-on for yourself by following the log in steps here: Logging into Ometria using Google single sign-on.
Once you've confirmed it's working, consider making this feature mandatory for all users in your account.
