This article explains how to set up an export via SFTP (secure file transfer protocol) to send a customised data export from Ometria.
Before you begin
You'll need the following information for the SFTP you host:
- Hostname
- Port number
- Username
- Private key
- Remote path/destination directory
Create your SFTP connection
Complete the steps for creating an export and choosing your data fields.
In the second page of the export setup, select SFTP as your connection type.
Next, choose a connection:
- If this is the first time you've created a connection to an SFTP, select Create a new connection and complete the fields as described below.
- If your Ometria account is already connected to an SFTP, select the correct connection from the dropdown.
| Field | Description |
| Connection name | Name the connection whatever you like. |
| Host | Enter your SFTP hostname. |
| Port | Enter the SFTP port number. |
| Username | Enter your SFTP username. |
| Private key | Enter the SFTP private key. |
| Remote path | Enter the destination directory for your SFTP. |
| Send error notifications to |
Enter an email address, or several separated by commas. These email addresses will receive an email if there is an export error. |
Click Next.
