This is the final step you should take when integrating your mobile app with Ometria. Click here for a full list of integration steps.
To send test push notifications, you need to create test users in your Ometria staging account.
We recommend creating at least two test users, one with access to an iOS device and the other with access to an Android device.
Before starting this flow ensure that sign-in creates a customer identified event.
Create test users:
- Add the users to the Ometria account you are testing from via CSV upload.
Note: Make sure the new contacts are opted in for marketing.
- Download your mobile app (or the test/staging version of your app) to the devices you’re using for testing.
- Sign into the app with the test user email address.
Signing in is a customer identified event, which is sent to Ometria, so once you’ve done this for your test users you can use the Send test feature to send them push notifications.
In Ometria, go to Campaigns > Automation campaigns > Create a new campaign.
Add a Send Push Notification action node to your campaign flow:
Complete the required (*) fields and enter the test email address, then click Send test:
Note: You can only send tests to one contact at a time.
