In the event that you need to disable your Attentive audience sync, e.g. to correct a syncing error, you'll need to delete the connection from Ometria and create a new one.
Delete the audience sync
Go to Settings > Connections and select your Attentive audience sync:
Select the delete icon at the top of the screen and confirm your choice:
This will stop any information being sent between Attentive and Ometria - both segments and SMS marketing subscription status.
Set up your audience sync
Once the issue you were encountering has been solved, you'll need to set up the Attentive audience sync again.
See: Setting up an attentive audience sync
When you re-sync
Any segment which was synced before you deleted it will continue to refresh once an hour, and then the usual syncing process will kick in until all of the information is up to date:
- First, Ometria calls the custom attributes API - only contacts who are already subscribed in Attentive will display in Ometria.
- Next, Ometria calls the Attentive subscribers API to check the contacts' subscription statuses
If a contact has different subscription statuses in Ometria and Attentive (i.e., opted-in to one and opted-out of the other), Ometria will call the unsubscribe endpoint and Attentive will send a "Reply Y" or "Reply N" SMS to the contact so they can confirm their new SMS marketing status.
