Micro-interactions - also called hover effects - add small animations, visual cues, or responses that users encounter when they perform specific actions within the email content.
When a recipient hovers their cursor over a specific element in the email, such as a button or an image, a subtle animation or colour change occurs.
This transition provides visual feedback which indicate interactivity, and can encourage users to engage with the element.

Getting started with micro-interactions
First, contact your Customer Success Representative with your brief.
You should include:
- Any relevant brand guidelines
- The micro-interactions that you want for a new or existing block
- Styling details that you want to include
Compatibility
Micro-interactions are compatible on both desktop and mobile but like many interactive elements, they aren’t supported by all email clients.
Currently, micro-interactions are supported by:
- iOS Mail
- Apple Mail
- Outlook (MacOS)
- AOL
- Yahoo Mail
- Gmail
Transitions from one state to another won't happen in email clients that do not support micro-interactions - they'll see a static element instead.
