Contact store is the online store (often the country, e.g. UK, US, DE, etc.) which Ometria believes the contact is associated with.

The store is used to determine which product listing to show your contacts in the campaigns they receive.
It’s also used when generating product recommendations in automation campaigns.
How is store calculated?
Ometria checks the following when trying to determine which store to assign a contact to (in order of priority):
- The contact record you supplied: If the store is specified here, then Ometria uses it, e.g. the store the contact subscribed from.
- Orders placed by the contact: Ometria looks at the store from which the contact made their most recent valid order and uses this.
- Website visits: Ometria looks at the store the contact visited most recently and uses this. See also: JavaScript tracker.
If Ometria can't determine the store through any of these steps, the store field is left as ‘unknown’.
