Shopify subscription webhook

Ometria usually receives contact and subscription data from Shopify at regular intervals through scheduled syncing.

To speed this process up so you can use the data more immediately (e.g. triggering welcome campaigns for new subscribers), Ometria also uses Shopify's webhooks to collect customer and subscription data in real time.

Shopify webhook setup

Ometria will create, manage and update these webhooks on your behalf, so there is no need for any manual setup.

Note: These webhooks aren't visible in Shopify or the Ometria platform. Your Technical Project Manager can confirm your initial setup, and we will alert you to any ingestion errors after that.

If you would prefer not to have these webhooks configured by default, please contact our Support Team or your Technical Project Manager.

Legacy webhooks

Some retailers previously set up manual Shopify subscription webhooks.

As of 22nd September 2025, these have been replaced with Ometria’s automated webhooks (described above).

Your integration will continue to function as expected, and we recommend removing any manually created webhooks when convenient.

💡The new automatically created webhooks won't appear in the connections screen, so there's no chance that you could delete it by mistake.
