Cloning permissions and hierarchy (beta)

Admin users in Ometria can assign cloning permissions to users.

Cloning permissions allow users to clone content from one Ometria account to another.

Once cloning permissions are assigned, you can clone email templates and/or assets.

Setting up your account hierarchy

If your brand has multiple Ometria accounts and you'd like clone content between them, contact your Customer Success Representative to help you set up your accounts hierarchy.

There are two types of accounts; parent a 'master' account, and child, a sub-account of the parent.

For example:

• Parent: Europe
  • Child: France
  • Child: Germany
  • Child: UK

You can also define a global account, responsible for a group of parents with children:

• Global
  • Europe
    • France
    • Germany
    • UK

In this example, an Administrator in the global account can assign permissions to users in the Europe account and any of its children (France, Germany, UK), as long as they have "Administer account" permission in each child account. 

Account administrators

You'll need to decide who your Administrators are going to be in each account. 

Users with the permission "Administer account" can assign cloning permissions to users in accounts beneath them in the hierarchy.

This Administrator user must have admin permission in both the child and parent accounts.

Assign cloning permissions

To assign cloning permissions to users in an Ometria account you need: 

1. The administrator role in the global/parent account, and;
2. The administrator role in the account you're setting up permissions for.

Go to Settings > Users and permissions:

Select a user and click Clone elements to accounts:

Select the account(s) you're enabling this user to clone to, and then select the elements they can clone.

The cloning permissions in Ometria are:
