Ometria suppresses contacts to protect your email deliverability, but sometimes a contact ends up on your account suppression list who shouldn't be there, e.g. a customer who accidentally marked an email as spam and has since asked to hear from you again. You can remove an individual contact from your account suppression list directly from their contact details.

Note: You can only unsuppress contacts on your account suppression list. Contacts on Ometria's master suppression list, e.g. hard bounced or invalid email addresses, can't be unsuppressed. The option doesn't display for these contacts.
Before you start
Your role needs the Unsuppress contact permission. Your account admin can check this in Settings > Users and permissions. See: Users and permissions
Unsuppress a contact
- Go to Customer > Segment explorer > select the Contacts tab.
- Search for and select the suppressed contact to open their contact details. Suppressed contacts show a Suppressed flag in their profile.
- Select the dropdown arrow next to Edit.
- Select Unsuppress contact.
The contact is removed from your account suppression list, and the Suppressed flag disappears straight away. You don't need to refresh the screen.
Be aware: Contacts are usually suppressed for a reason, e.g. a spam complaint or repeated soft bounces. Only unsuppress a contact if you're confident they want to receive your emails. Emailing contacts who have complained or whose mailboxes are full can harm your deliverability. See: Suppression reasons
