Yes, you can use custom fonts but you can't upload fonts through the application.
The Ometria platform doesn't host custom fonts, but we can host the fonts for you outside of the platform.
This may be chargeable and requires a developer.
To get started with custom fonts, contact your Customer Success Manager or raise a template request support ticket.
If you want to use a custom font you’ll need to provide us with the font files in the following formats:
- EOT
- TTF
- WOFF
Alternatively, you can provide us with a Google font import URL or an Adobe Typekit import URL.
We also need to know which websafe fallback font you want to use for un-supported devices.
Why isn’t my preferred font showing?
Ometria supports custom fonts/web fonts, but web fonts aren't supported by all email clients.
When using web fonts, you should always have a fallback ‘web-safe font’ for email clients that don’t support web fonts.
This table shows an example of the behaviour for the following font stack; font-family: Sofia-Pro-Regular, Helvetica, sans-serif
.
Order of priority |
Font |
Font Type |
1st: Display if available |
Sofia-Pro-Regular |
Web font |
2nd: Display if web font not available |
Helvetica |
Web-safe font |
3rd: Fallback to any available sans-serif font |
sans-serif |
Any sans serif font available |
The font stack is a prioritised list of preferred fonts.
If an email client can’t comply with your first choice, it will fall back to the next one on your list.
