Reports running in the background show up in the notification centre, accessed from the bell icon in the top right.
The bell tells you whether you have any unread notifications:
- Blue, ringing: you have an unread notification.
- Green: nothing new since you last looked.
For each report, you can see the segment name, the filters applied, the number of filters, and how long ago it started. Customer KPIs and Order KPIs are covered by a single notification when both groups are loaded together, so you do not get two pop-ups for the same run.
In-progress reports
While a report is running, the notification shows the segment name, filters, and the time it started. You can cancel a report that is still running by selecting it and confirming. Once you confirm, the report stops and is removed from the list. If you change your mind, select Keep running in the confirmation dialogue, and the report continues running.
Ready reports
When a report finishes, you get a single pop-up in the top right with a link to view it. The notification centre updates to show the report as ready, with the time it finished and a count of days until it expires.
Select View report to open the Segment explorer in a new tab with the results loaded.
You only get one notification per run, even if it covers more than one section of the explorer. For example, if you ran the KPIs and the customer cohorts together, that is one notification.
Cancelled and failed reports
Reports you cancelled stay visible in the notification centre, so you have a record of what you stopped. Failed reports also show in the list with an option to retry.
Marking notifications as read
Use the three-dot menu on any notification to mark it as read or unread.
