You might want to set up your own parameters to reflect your own reporting structure.
For example, you might prefer a different source name for automation so that it doesn’t pull through under ‘transactional’ or you may want to add further parameters so you can track individual segment performance.
There are various ways to do this:
Parameter |
Value |
utm_source |
automation | ometria | ometria_automation | trigger_om |
To pull through just the campaign name, rather than the internal campaign hash (which comes through as default):
Parameter |
Value |
utm_campaign |
Example: SS20 Launch or Welcome Campaign |
You can apply this to automation and broadcast emails.
To pull through the campaign name for transactional emails, add utm_campaign
to the payload in the Transactional API under the url_parameters object.
You could also specify the exact name of the campaign you want to pull through by setting the parameter up at the campaign level:
Parameter |
Value |
utm_campaign |
welcome | welcome__programme | om_welcome_automation |
Ometria only adds tracking parameters to URLs that are associated with your account, i.e. URLs using the domain you registered with Ometria during your onboarding.
