This panel in customer insights provides a quick overview of your new vs returning customers as well as lapsed customers.
Select as date range from the drop-down in the top right:
The date picker option here differ slightly from Ometria's standard date picker options:
|Last 6 months||From the beginning of the month 6 months ago to now (i.e. the current date and time of day).|
|Last 12 months||
From the beginning of the month 12 months ago to now (i.e. the current date and time of day).
|Last 24 months||From the beginning of the month 24 months ago to now (i.e. the current date and time of day).|
Select your own date range, choosing from any date in any year.
The 'from' date always begins at midnight (00:00) on that date, and the 'to' date ends at 23:59, unless it is today, in which case it ends at the current time.
- New customers includes anyone that placed their first order within the selected date range.
Note: A new customer can place more than one order in the same month and still be considered ‘new’.
- Returning customers includes any customer that repeated within the selected date range, but was not new (all returning customers with a valid order).
- Lapsed includes any customers that lapsed within the selected date range.
It’s important to be aware that these criteria are mutually exclusive.
