Clutch provides gift cards for retailers to issue to their customers.
Ometria’s integration with Clutch provides transactional emails to confirm the purchase of a gift card and communicate the gift card number.
Before you begin
To get started integrating Clutch with Ometria, please contact your Customer Success Representative to discuss commercials and enablement.
You will need the following:
- A Clutch account
- A secure transfer protocol (SFTP) site, which you must host
- A transactional email template for gift vouchers in Ometria
- An API key from Ometria
Only users with administrator account permissions can access the API keys tab.
Merge tags
Once you're integrated, Ometria receives the following merge tags from Clutch which you can use in your transactional emails:
Setting up your integration with Clutch
In Ometria, go to Settings > Connections and click Add a new connection:
Select the Clutch tile:
Complete the fields in the FTP Client authentication screen using the details from your SFTP site.

File_Path* | Enter the folder path, e.g. /inbox |
File_Name* | Enter the prefix of your file name, e.g. if your file name is 'clutchfile_2022-01-02', enter 'clutchfile_' |
Click Next. In the File transfer frequency screen, define how often you want Clutch to send data to Ometria.
There is a minimum of once per minute.
Field | Description |
Field check interval | Enter the interval, e.g. 30. |
File check time unit | Enter the time unit, e.g. minutes. |
Click Next.
In the Ometria authentication screen, select the dropdown and click Add new account.
You'll be prompted to create a new authentication - give it a name and enter the Ometria API key you copied earlier, then select Create.
Finally, in the Email information screen complete the fields with details about your Ometria transactional email template:

Template ID | Enter the ID of the transactional template set up for Clutch. |
Reply name | Enter the name to appear in the ‘reply’ field of transactional emails sent via this connection. |
From address | Enter the email address to appear in the ‘from' field of transactional emails sent via this connection. |
From name | Enter the name to appear in the ‘from’ field of transactional emails sent via this connection. |
Reply address | Enter the email address contacts can use to reply to transactional emails sent via this connection. |
Subject line | Enter a subject line for transactional emails sent via this connection. |
Stream | Add a value for reporting purposes. This field can’t contain spaces. |
Select Finish to complete your integration.
