You can set different overlay opt-in rules per country/market, or a default for all markets.
Currently, you can only use email double opt-in for overlays.
Double opt-in is legally enforced in some countries. It is your responsibility to understand the appropriate laws for markets in which you operate.

Getting started
Double opt-in sends a transactional email to your new contacts.
You'll need a special master template for this, built by our Creative Team.
Get in touch with your Customer Success Representative who can raise a request for you.
Overlay opt-in rules per country
Go to your account > Settings > Channel settings > Overlays opt-in rules
Add countries here, and set them to single or double opt-in.
Select Edit to set up an email template:

You can also set up the following:
| Field | Description |
| Email from name | The 'from' name for your double opt-in email. |
| Email subject | The subject line of your double opt-in email. |
| Email from address | The 'from' address for your double opt-in email. |
| Redirect to this URL after confirming email address (optional) | The URL to redirect the contact to once they've confirmed their email. |
Default opt-in overlays
This is the opt-in method for any customers who don't belong to any of the countries you've selected.
It's set to single opt-in by default:
Apply a country opt-in rule to an overlay
Go to your overlay (either the version or the blueprint) and then select Opt-in rules.
Choose the country rule.
If you don't define a country, the default in your channel settings applies.
