Automatically pre-filter the search results on your website when a visitor searches for specific terms.
For example, if a visitor searches for "green dress", the page automatically applies the filters "green" and "dress" when they hit enter.
Create a natural language processing algorithm
Go to: Website personalisation > Site search > Natural Language Processing and select Create a new query processor:
Choose an attribute from the list.
Complete the fields:
| Field | Description |
| Name | Give your natural language processor a memorable name. |
| Smart stop words | Toggle this on to treat prefixes and suffixes as stop words. You can define these under Attribute Mappings and Custom Mappings. |
Attribute Mappings
Select all of the attributes relevant for a search, and add a prefix or suffix if you want them to be treated as stop words e.g. "size" as a prefix for a "size 16 t-shirt".
Custom Mappings
This is an optional feature.
Make sure that your search function filters by accurate colours when visitors use descriptive words in their search phrase, e.g. “bright”,“dark”, etc.
