Search Adjustments

You can use the search adjustments screen to control the suggestions displayed in your site search, e.g. removing misspelt words and phrases.

As these suggestions are based on previous customer searches, spelling errors and other mistakes are common. 

You can also choose to block certain words and phrases, preventing them from appearing in the search suggestions completely (e.g. seasonal phrases, irrelevant products, discount or price-sensitive terms, etc.)

Adjusting the search suggestions

In Ometria, go to: Website Personalisation > Site Search > Search Adjustments.

Select the Adjustments link for the site you want to edit, then click +Add.

Replacements

Use the Replacements tab to replace words and phrases from your search suggestions.

E.g. change "champagns" to "champagne"

Enter the misspelling on the left and the correct spelling on the right:

Use the Blocked tab to block words and phrases from the search suggestions completely:
