A website overlay is an onsite pop up that displays in front of a webpage.
Overlays can be used to promote offers, discounts, or email subscription boxes to website visitors.
In Ometria you can create one website overlay campaign per account.
The overlay will only display once every 24 hours, and will only display to unknown visitors, i.e. those who haven’t been identified by Ometria's cookie (this is not the same as contacts with a marketing opt-in ‘unknown’).
Our overlays load after the page has been loaded (after the OnLoad
event).

Getting started
There is no technical setup required to get started with your website overlay - all you need to do is raise a request with our support team, who will create the required custom field and enable the necessary tag plugin.
Once support has confirmed this, you can start creating your overlay.
Privacy policy links
You are required to include a link to the privacy policy on your website in your overlay. Without it, you cannot save the campaign.

Security
Our forms have anti-bots security embedded to avoid malicious uses of overlays.
Fonts
When you choose a font, it will apply to all of the text in your overlay.
The overlay builder has access to the most common web safe fonts including Arial, Helvetica, Lato, Verdana, etc.
If you want to use a custom font, we recommend uploading the desired text as an image file and inserting it as a background image.
Disclaimer - German market
As Ometria doesn't offer double opt-in for overlays, you won’t be able to target the German market with your overlay.
