Frequency is how often you send email campaigns.
Some retailers find it helpful to send to different segments at different frequencies.
If frequency is a concern for you, you might find our predictive frequency feature useful.

This is how we recommend manually splitting up your segments for optimum frequency:
Segment | Definition | Frequency |
Most engaged | Engaged in the last 15 days | Five to seven days a week |
Engaged | Engaged in the last 15 - 45 days | Three to five days a week |
Less engaged | Engaged in the last 45 - 90 days | Once or twice a week |
Least engaged | Engaged in the last 90 - 180 days | Maximum once a week |
Setting up a 'most engaged' segment
Go to: Customer > Segment explorer > Filter Customers and add the following condition:
- Customer Attributes: Accepts marketing - which is - opted in
AND
- Email Activity: date of last opened email - after (relative) - 15 days ago
AND
- Email Activity: date of last clicked email - after (relative) - 15 days ago
OR - when you select this you'll create a block within the filter.
- Web Activity: last visited - after (relative) - 15 days ago
