You can include customer-related fields to your website overlays to collect further information:
Select + Add a customer field and choose from the following default fields:
- Gender
- Date of birth
Or any of your custom fields for contacts.
Text fields
Select the Text field option to give your leads a free text field, where they can enter whatever answer they like:
Dropdown fields
Select the Dropdown field option to provide a set of predefined choices for your leads to select.
You can add as many Answer choices as you like to the dropdown:

Hidden fields
Hidden field options don't display in the overlay; your leads won't see them.
Ometria still receives data for these fields.
You might want to use this field to update a lead's preferred store, e.g. UK, US, Germany, etc. You can use this data to segment your contacts and personalise future campaigns.
Enter the value you want to collect. E.g. if this overlay version is for your UK store site, enter "UK store".
Any contact who completes this overlay version will have "UK store" assigned to that custom field in their profile.
Date fields
When you select a date field you can choose the format you prefer from the Date format dropdown:
Gender
Ometria's default gender field only accepts M/F/O or male, female, and other.
To collect more diverse gender identities you'll need to create a custom field.
Update the Answer choices section to edit the options your sign-ups will see:
