When troubleshooting complicated problems, Ometria's Support Team sometimes needs information about the network requests that are generated in your browser while an issue is occurring.
For this reason we might ask you to record an HAR file, or a log of network requests.
Record an HAR file in Chrome
Open Google Chrome and go to the page where the issue is happening, click the vertical ellipsis in the top-right of your browser () and select More Tools > Developer Tools:
Select the Network tab, then check that the Record button () is red - if it's grey, click it to start recording.
Check the Preserve log flag, then click the 'clear' button () to clear any existing logs from the tab.
Now reproduce the issue you were experiencing before while the network requests are being recorded.
Once you've finished, right-click anywhere on the Network panel and select Save as HAR with Content and save the file to your computer.
You can upload your HAR file to your ticket or attach it to your email so that our Support team can analyse it.
Record an HAR file in Firefox
Open Firefox and go to the page where the issue is happening, click the Firefox menu () and select Web Developer > Network.
The Developer Network Tools panel opens at the side or bottom of your screen. Select the Network tab.
