Shopify payment statuses – Ometria Help Centre

Ometria receives the following order statuses from the Shopify ecommerce importer:

voided
refunded
open
closed
cancelled
authorized
expired
paid
partially_refunded

Note: Ometria doesn't receive any order that has been archived in Shopify.

These are mapped to Ometria statuses as follows:

Shopify	Ometria
Any order `"confirmed"`	`"status"` is Open `"is_valid" = true`
`"fulfillment_status"="fulfilled"`	`"status"` is Closed `"is_valid"=true` Note: If `"financial_status": "pending"` then the `"status"` is Open.
Any order with a `"cancelled_at"` date	`"status"` is Cancelled `"is_valid"=false`
Any order with `"financial_status"` of `"refunded"` or `"voided"`	`"status"` is Refunded or Voided `"is_valid" = false`
authorized `"financial_status": "authorized"` `"fulfillment_status": "unfulfilled"` (shows as `null` in Ometria raw data)	`"status"` is Open `"is_valid" = true`
expired `"financial_status": "pending"` `"fulfillment_status": "fulfilled"`	`"status" is Open` `"is_valid" = true`
partially_refunded `"financial_status": "partially_refunded"` `"fulfillment_status": "fulfilled"`	`"status"` is partially_refunded `"is_valid" = true`
paid `"financial_status": "paid"` `"fulfillment_status": "unfulfilled"` (shows as null in Ometria raw data)	`"status"` is Open `"is_valid" = true`

Shopify payment status and order status in Ometria

Shopify categorises "partially_refunded" and "expired" orders as a type of Payment status and "Open" and "Cancelled" orders as a type of Order status.

In Ometria these two categories are combined as Order status:

Status	Shopify status type	Ometria

Segmenting on order status

You can segment your contacts based on their order status using the customer filter in any of the following screens:

Go to the customer filter and set up the following filter:

Has placed an order which matches - Order status - Which is - [choose an order status]

Order status in the orders filter

You can filter your orders based status using the orders filter available in the products report and the orders report.

Go to the orders filter and set up the following filter:

Check the order details screen for the status of individual orders.

Grand Total Total	Order level Includes: Order subtotal Tax Shipping	Order level 159.03+16.30+0= £175.33
Subtotal	Order level The order subtotal and discounts, excluding: Tax Shipping Line item level The unit price, excluding: Tax Discounts Unit price discount (if tax is not included in unit price)	Order level 175.33-16.30-0= £159.03 Line item level 159.03 (tax not included)-0 (discount)= £159.03 Note: In our example the tax is not included in the unit price.
Discount	Order level The sum of all of the line items’ discounts. Line item level The individual line items’ discount amount from Shopify.	Order level 0 Line item level 0
Tax	Order level The sum of all of the line items’ tax amounts. Line item level The individual line items’ tax amount from Shopify.	Order level 16.30+0= £16.30 Line item level 16.30
Shipping	The total shipping cost of the order.	£0
Units	The number of items purchased for a given line item	1 Note: If the order was partially refunded then Units will be 0.
Unit price	The product price after or before tax and before any discounts. Note: This will depend on how you set up the unit price in Shopify. In our example there is no tax.	159.03 (no taxes included)

Note: In some cases the line item totals won’t add up, e.g. shipping tax has been refunded. If you notice these kinds of discrepancies then it’s most likely due to the way your Shopify store is set up.
