Refresh your dynamic segments

Ometria automatically refreshes dynamic segments at different time intervals depending on whether or not they are actively in use.

Refresh time depends on how a segment is being used and how much it has changed in size.

Refresh frequency

Dynamic segments used as entry triggers in automation campaigns update every four hours, as long as the segment has changed by more than 0.5% in its last five refreshes. 

If it hasn't, it updates daily.

Ometria refreshes dynamic segments daily if:

• The segment has been refreshed fewer than 10 times
• The segment has changed in size by more than 3% in its last five refreshes

Ometria refreshes dynamic segments twice a week if:

• The segment is used in a broadcast campaign, a third party sync, or another segment, and has changed by more than 0.5% in its last five refreshes.

Ometria refreshes dynamic segments once a week if:

• The segment hasn't changed at all in its last five refreshes
• The segment has changed in size by less than 3% in its last five refreshes and isn't used in any campaigns
• The segment is used in a broadcast campaign, a third party sync, or another segment, but has changed by less than 0.5% in its last five refreshes

Manually refresh a segment

To update a dynamic segment outside of the scheduled refresh frequency, click Refresh in the Saved segments screen at any time.

Go to saved segments and select Refresh from the ellipsis drop-down:
