When a contact is issued a unique coupon code in Ometria, you can send them reminders of the same code as many times as you like, until they choose to redeem it.
This is particularly useful in win-back campaigns which aim to reactivate lapsed customers.
Sometimes, customers become lapsed more than once, even after redeeming their coupon code.
Contacts who re-enter campaigns with coupon codes activated will either:
- receive a new coupon code (if their old one was redeemed), or;
- receive the same code again (if it has not been redeemed).
Example:
Jane is at risk of lapsing and enters your win-back campaign. She receives an email with a coupon code, and then two weeks later a reminder email with the same code. This time she uses the coupon code to place an order.
Jane is now active again and the coupon code is redeemed.
A year later, Jane is at risk of lapsing again.
She re-enters the win-back campaign and receives a new unique coupon code.
Bob is in the same position as Jane, except when he re-activated he didn't use his coupon code.
When he re-enters the win-back campaign, he gets the same code he was sent last time.
