In the broadcast builder you can set up a campaign which excludes members of a specific segment from receiving the email:
To exclude more than one segment from your campaign, you can select the filter button and use the customer filter to exclude contacts belonging to certain segments.
Select Customer belongs to segment > which is one of > [choose your segments]
Select Apply filter and continue building your campaign.
Using a starter segment
If you choose to exclude an initial segment from Exclude contacts before clicking the Customer Filter to exclude further segments, this will make the number of excluded recipients smaller.
In this example, we've started with the segment '1 time order ONLY':
If you open the Customer Filter and add further segmentation, Ometria will only apply the filter conditions to the initial segment.
So in this example, the contacts who are excluded must:
- Belong to the 1 time order ONLY segment
- Have placed their last order before 20 September 2022
- Have a customer lifecycle status which is 'At risk'
You can see in the top right corner of the customer filter that a total of 130 contacts meet all of these conditions:
If you set up the same conditions without an initial segment ('No segments selected') then the number of contacts who meet all of these conditions is 18,918:
