Update your store settings for geo-targeting – Ometria Help Centre

In order to begin using the geo-targeting feature in Ometria you'll need to add your physical stores' addresses to the platform.

Go to: Settings > Stores and click Add new store

You can choose to:

Manually enter an individual store, or;
Bulk upload stores via .csv file

Alternatively, if we're already receiving data for your physical stores, you can:

simply update the address field
upload a csv to bulk update your addresses.

Enter an individual store

Select Enter individual store and complete the fields:

Field	Description
Store ID	Enter the store ID. This ID is used by our API to attribute products and orders to the right store, so it's very important that the field matches the data you send us. This field can't be changed once you've created the store.
Store name	Enter a name for your store - it should be unique and easy to identify, as this is the store name that displays in reports throughout Ometria.
Show in menu	Select 'Yes' to display this store in the following areas: Overview dashboard Cohort report Orders report Products report Realtime dashboard Segment explorer
Type	Select Physical for your brick and mortar stores.
Address	Enter the physical store's address.

Click Create.

You can start using this store right away to create a geo-targeted segment.

Upload or update stores via CSV file

Select Upload stores via CSV file.

💡 If you already have data for physical stores in Ometria and want to bulk update the addresses, make sure the store IDs in your CSV match those already in your account. This will merge the data.

Store CSV uploads have a maximum file size of 1MB.

Your CSV must contain data for the following headers:

Header	Details
id	Mandatory field. Enter the store ID. This ID is used by our API to attribute products and orders to the right store, so it's very important that the field matches the data you send us. The id field is case sensitive. This field can't be changed once you've created the store.
name	Mandatory field. Enter a name for your store - it should be unique and easy to identify, as this is the store name that displays in reports throughout Ometria.
show_in_menu	Mandatory field. To display this store in the following areas: Overview dashboard Cohort report Orders report Products report Realtime dashboard Segment explorer This field accepts: For yes, one of: "t", "true", "y", "yes" For no, one of: "f", "false", "n", "no"
type	Mandatory field. Enter "physical" for physical stores or "online" for online stores. This field isn't case sensitive.
address	Optional field - mandatory for physical stores. Enter the address for your physical store.
domain	Optional field - only required for online stores. Enter the domain for your online store You must include the prefix https://

Select Process.

You'll get an email once the CSV has completed processing and you can start create a geo-targeted segment.

Update store address manually

💡 You can also bulk update stores via CSV.

If your physical store is already listed in this screen, you can just start typing the address into the Address field.

You will need to select Type before you can save.

Add the address and click Save:
