From the Stores tab in Settings, administrators can:
- Manually add new stores
- Edit your store's display names
- Add addresses for physical stores to use in geo-targeted segments
- Choose whether you want that store visible in the Ometria store selector for the following areas:
Go to: Settings > Stores
You can switch between the All, Online and Physical tabs, search for a store name and filter based on various characteristics:

Adding an individual online store
Select Add new store and complete the following fields:

| Store ID |
The unique identifier for each store. This ID is used by our API to attribute products and orders to the right store, so it's very important that the field matches the data you send us.
Note: You can't edit this field after the store has been saved.

| Store name | The name for each store as it displays in other screens in Ometria. |

Enable the store to display in the following areas: |
| Type |
Mandatory field. Select 'Online' - this means you'll be able to create overlays specific to this store. For physical stores, see: Update your store settings for geo-targeting |
| Marketing region |
This is an optional field you can use to define any marketing regions, whether they are geographic or otherwise. You can use this data to segment your contacts based on store activity, e.g. stores in Wales, on the South Coast etc. |
| Domain |
Enter the domain for your online store. You must include the prefix |
Scroll down and select Save once you’ve made your changes.
Updating and editing stores
Online stores are populated based on product and order data Ometria ingests.
You can edit and update their details here by selecting each field in the tile view:
Or by editing the fields in the table view:
Upload or update stores via CSV file
Select either:
- Update stores or;
- Add new store > Upload stores via CSV file
💡 If you already have data for physical stores in Ometria and want to bulk update the addresses, make sure the store IDs in your CSV match those already in your account. This will merge the data.

Store CSV uploads have a maximum file size of 1MB.
Your CSV must contain data for the following headers.
CSVs without the required fields will fail to upload.

Mandatory field. Enter the store ID. This ID is used by our API to attribute products and orders to the right store, so it's very important that the field matches the data you send us. This field can't be changed once you've created the store. |

Mandatory field. Enter a name for your store - it should be unique and easy to identify, as this is the store name that displays in reports throughout Ometria. |
| type |
Mandatory field. Enter "physical" for physical stores or "online" for online stores. This field isn't case sensitive. |
| domain |
Mandatory for online stores. This must not be set for physical stores. Enter the domain for your online store You must include the prefix |
| address |
Mandatory for physical stores. This must not be set for online stores. Enter the address for your physical store. |
| state |
Mandatory for physical stores. This must not be set for online stores. Enter the state for your physical store. 🇬🇧 For the UK, enter either: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales. |
| country |
Mandatory for physical stores. This must not be set for online stores. Enter a two letter ISO code. 🇬🇧 For the UK, enter: GB |
| marketing_region |
Optional field. Enter the name of your marketing region. This is a customisable field you can use to define any marketing regions, whether they are geographic or otherwise. |

Optional field - physical stores only. You can include up to 20 category columns using the naming convention You can only assign three categories per store. |
| size1 |
Optional field - physical stores only. This must not be set for online stores. Enter a size description for your store. You can include up to 10 size columns using the naming convention You can only assign one size per store. |
Select Process.
You'll get an email once the CSV has completed processing and you can start create a geo-targeted segment.
Reporting on your stores
You can filter contacts based on the following store data in the customer filter:
- Store of customer's last order
- Store of customer's first order
- Store country
- Store state
- Store marketing region
- Store categories
- Store sizes
- Store purchased from
- Store visited
Export stores
Users with export permissions can instantly export all of your store data to a CSV file by clicking the Export all button at the top of the screen:
