Create and manage templates for your push notifications in the Templates screen.
Unlike email templates, there are no master templates for push notifications.
You can add images to your push notifications either straight from your desktop or via the asset manager.

Saved templates
You can find all of your saved templates for push notifications in the Templates screen.
Go to: Campaigns > Templates > Push notifications:
Choose an action for any of your existing templates:

Create a new push notification template
Select Create new template to get started.
The template builder displays and you can start working on your new template.

Emojis
You can add emojis to your push notification templates directly from the template builder.
Emojis are unicode characters, which means that if you include an emoji in your push message the character limit is 70.

Merge tags
You can use any of Ometria's automation merge tags in your push notification templates.

Estimated characters remaining
As you type, Ometria calculates the message length.
You can include a maximum 120 characters in your push notification.
We recommend keeping your message short and succinct, so that recipients can easily read the notification on their mobile device screen.

Action when clicked
Next, choose an Action when clicked:
- Open the app - Opens the app home screen
- Open the deeplink in app - Opens a specific screen in the mobile app - see: Linking to app screens (deep linking)
Include image
To add an image to your push notification, toggle on Include image and then either upload a picture from your desktop, paste in a custom URL or select from the asset manager.
You have the option to set a different image for Android vs. iOS.
There is a 600KB limit on images.
Save and publish your template
Select Save to save your changes.
Select Save & Publish to save your changes and use this template in your automation campaigns.
