You can use the Send text message action in the automation campaign builder to send SMS and/or MMS messages.

MMS is only supported for contacts in Canada and the US.
If your business operates in another region, you can only send MMS to contacts in Canada or the US.
Landlines
Landline telephone numbers are automatically filtered out of your SMS sends.
Create your text message template
You'll need to build a template for your text message in the Templates screen.

Setting up an automation campaign with text messages
Once you've saved and published your templates(s) you can start using it in your automation campaigns.
Create a new automation campaign as usual.
When setting up your actions and conditions, select Add action > Send text message and choose a template from the dropdown:
You can Preview the template or click Edit this send to open the template editor (make sure you've saved your campaign first!)

Override template settings
Toggle on to override the link shortening and UTM rules inherited from this template:
Send from
You can choose to override your default sender ID.
This means you can use a different sender ID for each segment you send to, e.g. you might want to use a unique sender ID per store.

Choose a coupon pool to include in this text message send:

Save and test
Once you're happy with your setup, Save your changes and continue to build the rest of your flow.

Testing mode works the same way as for all automation campaigns.

Contacts without text message marketing preferences
If a contact isn’t opted in to receive text message marketing from you, they will exit the campaign flow after the Send text message node without receiving a message from you.

Which opt-out should I use for SMS?
We recommend including a link to unsubscribe from SMS marketing in every SMS you send.
You can do this by selecting the Link to unsubscribe in the campaign builder:
