HubSpot is a CRM system.
You can integrate HubSpot with Ometria to:
- Update your Ometria contact fields and custom fields with data from HubSpot
- Send HubSpot deals to Ometria as custom events and use them to segment your contacts or trigger automation campaigns.
Before you begin
If you're interested in integrating with HubSpot, please contact your Customer Success Representative to discuss enablement.
You should also generate an API key in Ometria.
Only users with administrator account permissions can access the API keys tab.
If you want to send HubSpot deals data to Ometria, you should also raise a request with the Support Team to create a custom event called hubspot_deals.
You should also let the Support Team know which fields from your HubSpot deals you'd like to pull into Ometria.
Data from HubSpot
The following fields are sent from HubSpot to Ometria by default:
- First name
- Last name
- Gender
- Date of birth
If you need additional fields you'll have the option to map them during setup.
HubSpot daily report
This integration doesn't sync contacts who have changed their email address in HubSpot.
This is because Ometria uses a contact's email address to merge data - so if Ometria receives a new email address it creates a new contact record, rather than updating a new one.
See: Merging contact profiles in Ometria
To get around this, the integration collects all contacts who have changed their email address daily and sends you a report.
Your team needs to find these contacts and manually update the email addresses to match HubSpot.
See: Contact details: Single customer view
Once this is done, the integration can continue syncing data for those contacts.
Create your custom fields
For data fields that exist in HubSpot but not in Ometria, you'll need to create custom fields in Ometria.
You should do this before you begin setting up your HubSpot connection.
Set up your HubSpot connection
In Ometria, go to Settings > Connections > Add new connection:
Select the HubSpot tile:
In the Ometria API key screen, select Add a new account from the dropdown.
Give your authentication a name and enter your Ometria API key:
Select Create.
Once the screen has authenticated, click Next to authenticate HubSpot.
In the HubSpot authentication screen select Add a new account from the dropdown.
Give your authentication a name, but don't enter anything in the Developer API key field. Simply click Create.
A HubSpot pop-up opens and you can log into your account to authenticate the connection.
Once you've authenticated with HubSpot, click Next to start mapping your data fields.
Some standard fields are already mapped for you.
Add any additional fields you might require - select Add a new mapping and choose a HubSpot field from the dropdown list, then map it to the corresponding Ometria field
Select Next.
Now you can do the same for your HubSpot deals data:
Select Next to continue.
In the Daily Reporting screen, add the email addresses of anyone on your team who should receive a daily report of contacts who have updated their email address in HubSpot.

Select Finish to complete the integration.
Trigger automation campaigns
You can use the HubSpot deals event as an automation campaign entry trigger.
Segment on HubSpot data
You can use the HubSpot data you've mapped in the customer filter to create segments.
