Recharge is a subscriptions payments platform that allows retailers to set up recurring billing for products and services offered on subscription.
Once set up, contact data from your Recharge account automatically updates contact custom fields in Ometria, which you can use to create segments.
You also have the option to send custom events from Recharge to Ometria and use them to trigger automation campaigns.
This integration is only available to Shopify users.
Contact data is sent to Ometria daily at 06:00am UTC.
Subscription events are created in Ometria as close to real time as possible.
Before you begin
If you're interested in integrating with Recharge, please contact your Customer Success Representative to discuss enablement.
You should also get:
- An API key from Recharge
- An API key from Ometria
Only users with administrator account permissions can access the API keys tab.
Create your custom fields
You'll need to create custom fields in Ometria to collect data from Recharge.
All of these fields use the Category: Contact.
| Field | Field ID | Type |
| Total subscriptions | total_subscription | Number |
| Total active subscriptions | active_subscriptions | Number |

You can use these custom events to trigger automation campaigns.

Customers start date
In the Customers Start Date screen, enter a start date for your customer data.
You can only do this once, for your first import.
Ometria will retrieve data for all customers with an "updated_at_min" date in Recharge after the date you enter here.
Example:
Jane's "updated_at_min" date in Recharge is 2022-02–03 01:32
- If you enter the date 2022-01-01 00:00, Jane's data is retrieved by the first import.
- If you enter the date 2022-06-01 00:00, Jane's data is not retrieved.
Select Finish to complete the integration setup.
Once the connection is complete and active, Recharge starts sending data to your account.
Cancelled subscriptions
If the customer cancels and has no other active subscriptions, Ometria displays 0 in their Recharge fields.
