Developer docs site launched for API documentation
Why?
Engineers/Developers have different documentation needs from Marketers, and require information such as API parameters to be presented in a way that is easy to reference and implement.
What's new?
We've built a site specifically for developers to house all of our API documentation.
Ometria developer docs includes:
- Guides for understanding and working with Ometria's API and endpoints.
- An API reference with revised parameter descriptions.
- Recipes - easy to follow quick reference guides for performing tasks like adding contacts to segments, merging contact records and changing a contact's email address via API.
You can access Ometria's developer docs from anywhere in the help centre by clicking the link at the top of your screen:
Multi-channel opt-in
Why?
Now that we’ve extended Ometria’s channel capabilities to offer SMS and Push notifications, we recognise a need to surface more insights and update your customer’s preference options.

- Date first unsubscribed (push)
- Date last subscribed (push)

You can view this information in the report as needed, or export it as a CSV file.
Added push notifications and SMS status to the single customer view
The new cross-channel marketability section in the Contact details screen now includes push notifications opt-in information:
From this screen you can also manually change a contact’s SMS preferences by selecting Edit:
Why can’t I change my contact’s push notifications preferences?
These are managed directly by your customers from their phones.
SMS subscription
You can give your contacts the option to subscribe and unsubscribe to SMS in the preferences centre:
Just like with email subscription, you can provide some suggested reasons when your contacts choose to unsubscribe from SMS.
Ometria forms
You can now add a Phone number field to your Ometria sign up forms. Increase your SMS lead customer base by adding the phone number field to your pop-up and footer/header sign up forms.
We’ve also added a drop down menu with country codes including automatic validation to ensure accuracy.
You can also subscribe your contacts to SMS via CSV contact upload:
