In Testing mode your automation campaign is live and will trigger emails based on real events on your website, but the emails will send to the 'Ometria-testing' email address instead of to real contacts.
Ometria automatically pauses campaigns which have been in testing mode for three months.
Test sends don't count towards your account's frequency caps.
Coupon codes aren't used in testing mode - Ometria uses a placeholder instead (e.g. XXX123) so that your pools aren't depleted.

You can see your testing activity in the Activity tab of the Campaign Performance: Automation campaigns dashboard.
Setting an active campaign to testing
To set an Active campaign to Testing you must Pause it first.
If you switch an Active campaign to Testing then any contacts who entered the campaign while it was active will continue their journey through the flow, but will not receive emails - these are sent to the 'Ometria-testing' email address instead.
Setting a testing campaign to active
When you set a Testing campaign to active, your automation flow is live and will trigger marketing communications based on real events on your website, to real contacts.
Any contacts who passed through the campaign while it was in Testing will start the campaign over again (as long as they meet the entry conditions and segmentation you set), regardless of the re-entry period.
Setting a testing campaign to paused
When you pause a campaign that was in testing mode, all of the test contacts currently moving through the campaign will exit.
