🇨🇦 🇺🇸 MMS in North America
Retailers who send marketing communications to US and Canadian contacts can now send MMS via Ometria.
MMS (multimedia messaging service) is a kind of text message that supports attachments such as photos and links.
In Ometria's new MMS template builder you can:
- Include subject lines for your text messages
- Attach content from your asset manager or draft and drop directly into the template
- Add emojis, merge tags, coupons and URLs
If you're interested in sending MMS from Ometria, please reach out to your Customer Success Representative to get started.
👯Clone campaigns, templates and assets between accounts
If your brand has multiple Ometria accounts, you can now clone campaigns, templates and assets between them.
This means you can share campaigns, templates or assets built in your "Europe" account by cloning them to your "France" and "Germany" accounts.
Before you start, you'll need to set up your account hierarchy and assign cloning permissions to the appropriate users.

⤵️ Merge tag selector!
You can now add any of Ometria's merge tags directly into the email template builder without needing to copy and paste!
📤 Customisable website interaction events export
It's now simple to schedule and customise website interaction events data exports to your S3 bucket.
You can choose:
- the data fields you want to include in your export,
- the format your data is exported in, and;
- how often Ometria exports it for you.
This builds on our two previous releases which introduced the customisable functionality for email events and contact data.
👀 Look out for more data export updates coming soon!
🌐 Enhanced multi-language templates
We've made some big improvements to our multi-language templates designed to make it faster and easier for you to manage your translations.
You can now:
- Edit translations directly in Ometria
- Set translation statuses as pending (in draft), translation requested/received or approved
- Send translation requests straight to your translation agency via API
If you're currently using our previous multi-language templates we'll be reaching out to you soon to discuss migrating.
If you're not currently building multi-language templates in Ometria but would like to know more, please reach out to your Customer Success Representative.
🚪Exit reasons for broadcast campaigns
We've introduced some new KPIs in your individual broadcast campaign performance reports to give you more insight into campaign exit reasons.
- Starting contacts - The number of contacts in your campaign before segmentation took place, and before any contacts exited.
- Total exits - The number of contacts who exited the campaign after segmentation. You can find Exit reasons below.
This data has been backfilled for your past campaigns.
We've also added a table for exit reasons, so you can see why contacts exited your campaign before sending.
See: Broadcast campaign performance: Exit reasons
⚙️ Small improvements
- We've added a Chargeable SMS metric to the campaign performance screens for automation campaigns so you can see the number of SMS sent in this campaign that you'll be charged for.
- The campaigns dropdown in Campaign performance: automation campaigns now shows all campaigns regardless of the date range.
- You can now find even more metrics in the Marketing tab of the single customer view, with SMS and push notification engagement KPIs.
- We've also improved validation on the phone number field in the single customer field by adding a clear error message when the field is updated with an invalid number.
- Building on our recent improvements to the subscribers report, we've added total metrics to your opt-in and opt-out graphs so you can more easily check your metrics for specific time periods.
🐛 Bug fixes
- We corrected a bug that was affecting SMS subscription numbers in the customer filter.
- We fixed an issue that was displaying hidden stores in the subscribers report.
